![]() This product is great for highlighting and mixing with Hard Candy’s Illuminating Drops, this thins out the consistency and creates a nice highlight on any area of the face you want highlighted, and creases less under the eyes when mixed with the liquid. You also have time to work with this concealer which is nice, since it does require some extra blending. This concealer is best blended out in two steps, first with a synthetic eyeshadow or small concealer brush – check out Xo Beauty’s Dual Ended Paddle Brush – followed by a damp Beauty Blender to eliminate streakiness or patchiness. I’ve seen it compared to the Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer, but I do believe that concealer is quite a bit thinner than this and easier to work with. It creases horribly, but other than that it works on everything else. I wouldn’t recommend this concealer under the eyes simply due to the thick consistency. This concealer is great for pimples, birthmarks, scarring, hyperpigmentation, or mixing in with a foundation for extra coverage as you would use Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops. It is meant to cover tattoos, and even has instructions on the packaging for how to do so. It has the same thick consistency, the same coverage, the same blend-ability. ![]() Oh! And P.S.Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer is comparable 100% to the Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer. ![]() Illuminating (no micro-shimmers here, thank you very much!).Not recommended if you’re looking for something… Paraben-, fragrance-, and silicone-free. ![]() Recommended if you’re looking for something… Indirect sunlight with flash support click to enlarge (a lot). There’s a whopping 20g of product in the tube, and while I’m not condoning the use of old products, I can’t see how I’d manage to finish this with anything less than a few years of daily use!) (I won’t, though… not for a good long time. It’s not yet available in Canadian Wal-Mart stores (the only place where Hard Candy is sold), but I’m such a fan of this that I’d literally start calling US relatives and begging them to ship me a tube if I needed another. I love the basic formula, I love the incredible pigmentation, and I love the price. The verdict? I don’t dole out the “ Holy Grail” label very often, but this is very much deserving of it. Plus, it manages to do it without silicones, parabens, or fragrances - an impressive feat for any face product, if you ask me, much less a heavy-duty concealer. This conceals just as well as high-coverage formulas like MUFE Full Cover and Lancome Effacernes, but it does it at a fraction of the price. The pigmentation: As you may have already guessed, the pigmentation of Glamoflauge knocked my socks right off. All MAC shades are Studio Finish concealer. When I first started testing this out, I kept trying to use more product than I actually needed! However, on my combination slightly oily/very dry skin, I have no issues with creasing or catching - it blends just fine and stays where it’s put, but the formula does take some getting used to. My beloved timeBalm has a lot more slip to it, making it easier to blend, and I’m concerned with how well Glamoflauge will sit with ageing skin (especially around the eyes). The formula: The one downfall of Glamoflauge is its texture, which is on the dry side for something that’s packaged in a tube. On top of that (here’s the truly crazy part), it’ll only run you six dollars. You may need 2-3 layers depending on tattoo design. Pat dry and let concealer dry between layers. Step 2: Apply Glamoflauge concealer over your entire tattoo and the surrounding area. What’s kind of crazy: I’ve been in love with theBalm’s timeBalm for years ( years!) and surprisingly… I think I may like this even more. To Hide Tattoos: Step 1: Line the edges of your tattoo with Glamoflauge concealer pencil, then fill in the area with the pencil. What it is: Hard Candy Glamoflauge, in Light Face Makeups: Average: 4.3 High: 5. The pencil was fine – regular low-end-of-the-drugstore stuff if you ask me – but the cream product really wowed me.
